Soon, Mr. Shapiro will arrive and we will talk more about my defense. He thinks I should claim to have been temporary insane when shooting Shane. Temporary insane due to sleep deprivation and extreme stress. It’s true, I was all shook after witnessing Shane—Sean—assaulting that poor man and killing him in cold blood.
But that would be lying. I have to tell the world the truth. That I needed to eradicate all my offspring. I was fully aware of what I was doing when I shot Shane. Because letting someone like him live, now, that would have been true insanity. And I hope my action proves I’m not insane like them.
