In the Spider's Web is set in Ash Meadow, a prison for children in Washington State. The story centers on Caitlin Weber, a girl who, in collusion with her mother and four other children, murdered her mother's employer. While the murder is briefly depicted, it is with what happens afterward to two of the perpetrators, particularly Caitlin, that the story is primarily focused. The Burg and Other Seattle Scenes

The Burg and Other Seattle Scenes

The Burg and Other Seattle Scenes is a short collection of nine stories and one poem. Eight of the stories-all except Arf-are true, and the poem, Icarus, also relates a true story. The stories range from satirical to deadly serious, from empathetic to, well, less empathetic. Mostly they are funny and strange and, as the title suggests, all take place in Seattle, Washington.   This book was originally put together to sell as a limited edition only at Burgermaster, a Seattle restaurant, but has caught on with several Seattle bookstores such that a second printing has been ordered.
