Good Morning Sir

Good Morning Sir

Hiranya Borah

Hiranya Borah

The book contains four imaginary stories with my philosophy of life. First one relating to saying a simple 'good morning'. I suggest, to remember that every ‘good morning’ is not necessarily as good as it sounds! Every good morning may mean ‘go to hell, you ba—d’. Therefore never force anyone to say ‘good morning’ against his or her will. After all, indifference attitude of a person is always better than the hidden curse, coated with a ‘good morning sir’. Always remember if you deserve a ‘good morning sir/ madam’ from anyone, you will definitely get it with or without any demand from your side. Always respect the will of the other person irrespective of his seniority and social standing compared to you.

What we think in a serious meeting? Are we all equally serious about the meeting? The book is written for humour only without any intention to tarnish image of anyone. What we think in a meeting? Are we all equally serious about the meeting? The book is written for humour only without any intention to tarnish image of anyone. I am trying to visualize, in a serious meeting how a group of members of the meeting can think. This is a fictitious description, nothing to do with reality. So if you find any resemblance with any character in the write-up, it is pure coincidence only.

Always there is a funny side of any serious story. Here, I want to tell you some of imaginary stories, not necessarily related with the implementation of the present scheme, Swachh Bharat Mission. The characters described in the stories are fictitious and are not real. If any resemblance of any character is observed, it is mere coincidence only.2nd October, 2019 is the target date for making India open defecation free (ODF). All the stakeholders are taking all necessary steps to achieve this particular goal without any dilution. I also whole heartedly involved myself in this noble cause and as a part of my duties, I have to go to different places to know about the ground reality of the progress in the direction of declaring entire country ODF. Without saying, it is the greatest success story of modern India. But always there is a funny side of any serious story. Here I want to tell you some of imaginary stories, not necessarily related with the implementation of the present scheme. The characters described in the stories are fictitious and are not real. If any resemblance of any character is observed, it is mere coincidence only.

I Love You Darling

I Love You Darling

Hiranya Borah

Hiranya Borah

This book contains only two poems with diametrically opposite themes. The first one is based on true love for a daughter and the second one based on our indifferent attitude towards a burning problem lurking over our society.A chilling alternative history short story detailing the rise to power of a modern demagogue in America from the perspective of a non-descript British family. As the infringements of liberty and freedom progress past the borders of America, directly impacting on Britain the societal changes force the family to assess their actions and a decision as to how far they will go to hide in anonymity within a regime they cannot begin to condone.

First Attempt

First Attempt

Hiranya Borah

Hiranya Borah

There are six poems, based mostly on conservation of water, enviroinment and maintenance of cleanliness. One poem is about a girl who was raped when she went out at night (as there was no toilet inside the premises) to attend call of nature. However, the first poem is based on duty of a lower level police officer who had to stay overnight beside an unkown dead body submerged in sea shore.Attempting something new is always challenging. Writing a few books in last two years has given me the confidence to write something for the readers. Some of the books are liked by the readers more and some are liked less. That is quite natural. I did try to write few poems in my mother tongue when I was in school and college. Some of them were also published by local magazines. But somehow, I was never comfortable in writing poetry. In this book there are six poems, based mostly on conservation of water, enviroinment and maintenance of cleanliness. One poem is based on fall out of not constructing of toilets within the premises. The last poem of the book on a mother is the title of the book. I have no shame in sharing with you that while writing the title poem, I wiped my tears at least four to five times and had to stop writing further many times. It is a tribute not only to my mother but to all the mothers for their unselfish sacrifice for their children. The book has another five poems. Hope you will like those as well.I decided not to write any poem in future after initial lukewarm response from you on my ‘First Attempt’. But later on, you have shown your love for the book which encouraged me to attempt another compilation of poem. I wanted to give the name of the book as ‘Second attempt’. But my last poem on a mother changed my mind and I gave the name of the book accordingly. I have no shame in sharing that while writing the title poem, I wiped my tears at least four to five times and had to stop writing further many times. It is a tribute not only to my mother but to all the mothers for their unselfish sacrifice for their children.

This is a fictional narrative. As per the claim of the narrator, though during last two decades, he has met hundreds of spirits all over the world out of which he has mentioned about only a few in this book. He found the ghost were always nice to him. They showed their faces to him to ask for some assistance. The narrator claims he was able to help the ghosts in almost all the cases. This is a fictional narrative.During last two decades, the narrator has met hundreds of spirits all over the world out of which he has mentioned about only a few. God has given him a power to help some of these spirits with only one restriction; he is able to communicate with the spirits of female only though he can see both male and female spirits. He could not find any specific reason for that. However, he thinks a plausible reason may be due to his better communicating skill with females than males. May be, his thinking wave lengths are similar to that of the females. His closeness to his mother ( father was more closed to his other siblings), his closest Aunty who provided him the power , his sisters (against only one brother), his daughters (one son versus two daughters and two spiritual daughters) and in-numerable female friends ( against a handful of male friends) may tilt his power to the female spirits. He also enjoys the situation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
