Since most Americans have little to no knowledge of how our present military works, it is the responsibility of those of us who do to educate the public. Nobody has appointed us to do this. However, if we don't, who will? The military services belong to the people.Following a nuclear holocaust, Nathan Taylor and his family face grim choices in order to stay alive. Fleeing deadly radiation, plague and desperate men, Nathan, an army officer, leads his wife and their two teenage sons away from chaos and madness toward his ancestral home in Kentucky. Horrors lie in their path. From the prison struggling to maintain control of its inmates, to the desperadoes who enslave anyone who comes their way, even survival may cost Nathan his humanity...or that of his sons, Joshua and David. Nathan struggles to keep his family intact, but it requires making brutal choices. He wants to protect his sons, but knows they now must be deadly and cold at times.Nathan's home has been spared from the worst of the destruction, but a larger conflict over scarce resources erupts. For the survivors to have any chance they will have to fight and the desperate journey has transformed young Joshua and David into men called upon to lead and sacrifice. Torn between harsh realities, and wanting to hold onto fleeting childhoods, they are often conflicted and angry about the roles thrust upon them. Much will depend on how Nathan and his sons respond to a madman and his military regime seeking to conquer the fledgling community they are helping to build.GLIMMER OF HOPE is an epic tale of one family's endurance and triumph after tomorrow's apocalypse.

For the last two years, Hendrix Parker’s life rotated in a constant routine of fighting Zombies, finding a place to spend the night and keeping his family safe. While all of those things were admirable pursuits, they had begun to blur together in monotonous gray lines and a haze inducing fog. Reagan Willow and Haley Gable tumble into the Parker’s lives with helpless charm and sarcastic cynicism. The boys can’t help but feel the strong need to protect them. Especially Hendrix, who can’t ignore the irresistible pull Reagan has on him. She’s everything he never thought he would find, and the shot of life that digs him out of the corpse-like stupor he’s fallen into. She might not feel the same way, but that won’t deter Hendrix from pursuing her. Maybe there’s nothing more than friendship between them, but their futures are now entwined, one way or the other. Just as long as they can escape the Zombie horde alive first. Love and Decay, Boy Meets Girl, is the first episode in the Love and Decay, Novella Series told from Hendrix’s point of View; and a Dystopian Romance about Zombies, the end of the world and finding someone to share it with. This story takes place over multiple episodes, with a release date every two weeks. Approximately 20,000 words.

Because we have so few Americans today who understand the military, I think it is imperative for those of us who do to point out a truth that is anything but official, i. e., the president that says we have turned a corner in Afghanisnam. What "corner" is he talking about. He using information given him by a military that is "can do" regardless of the reality. Will Coy Bedlam survive his stay in Sullen?Painfully he raised his head, looking out into a dreary drizzling environment, seeing his headlights purposefully reflecting off a roadside sign, with a name of a town called Sullen. Today’s population is 169.“What does that mean?” He growled, “Today’s population is 169.” Then he asked, “Where the hell is Sullen?” forcing himself to move, he dragged a map from his glove box, “I’ve never heard of it before…” And strangely it didn’t appear on the map either.
